Advocacy for Health Information Managers involves promoting the value of accurate and secure health data management to ensure improved patient outcomes and general population health.

Certification

Certification of Health Information Managers is a voluntary process that validates their competence, knowledge, and expertise in managing health data and upholding industry standards and regulations.

Empowerment

Empowerment of Health Information Managers involves providing them with the necessary resources, skills, and authority to effectively manage health data and drive decision-making processes.

Choose Your Membership Tier

SAHIMA Membership is open to any individual or group who is engaged in or interested in the field of
Health Information Management.
Members are divided into the following tiers:

Associate

Associate members are individuals who are not currently engaged in the field of health information management but who have an interest in the field.

Student

Student members are individuals who are currently enrolled in a tertiary health information management program, but not yet active in the field.

R 600

Professional

Professional SAHIMA members are individuals who are currently and actively engaged in the field of health information management.

R 1,500

Corporate

Corporate SAHIMA membership is intended for companies who wish to sign up their entire health information managers team.
